Husson University (EXHIBITOR)

For more than 100 years, Husson University has prepared future leaders to handle the challenges of tomorrow through innovative undergraduate and graduate programs. With a commitment to delivering affordable classroom, online and experiential learning opportunities, Husson has come to represent superior value in higher education.

Husson offers 75 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the fields of business, health, communications, criminal justice, technology, education, science and the humanities. A diverse set of professional certificate programs are also offered. Every degree program places high emphasis on infusing coursework with real-world learning opportunities to enhance student success. Most faculty have significant workplace experience and are some of the leading experts in their fields.

The University’s Division of Online and Extended Learning delivers a wide variety of courses for professional development and personal enrichment. Courses are held in the evenings on all three of its campuses as well as online and are designed to provide students with the flexibility needed to pursue an education while balancing home and work life. Through Husson’s Leadership Partner program, organizations can offer continuing education to their employees at a discounted rate, take part in customized training programs and have access to high-quality interns.

With its primary campus located in Bangor, Maine, the University enrolls approximately 3,000 undergraduate students with another 800 enrolled in graduate programs. Husson also has education centers in Presque Isle and Westbrook as well as a robust online learning environment to accommodate students’ diverse learning needs.

Husson is committed to being a transfer-friendly institution. Every transfer student is provided with a free transcript evaluation and has the opportunity to work one-on-one with an admissions counselor to determine how much time is needed to earn their degree. The University has transfer agreements with a wide range of institutions and will accept up to 90 credits. Recognizing the educational value of work experience, Husson also offers credit for prior work experience. The University will complete a free prior learning portfolio assessment to determine credits earned.

A hallmark of a Husson education is the individual attention offered to every student. Small class sizes allow students to receive personalized guidance and support from faculty and staff at every stage of their program. Through the University’s Center for Student Success, students have access to a wide range of academic support services.

For the ninth year in a row, Husson has been designated a Military Friendly® School. This designation is awarded to the top 15% of institutions who are steadfast in their commitment to educate our nation’s veterans and dependents.

Husson prides itself in offering an outstanding education at an exceptional value. In fact, U.S. News and World Report recently named Husson as the lowest priced private university accredited by NECHE in New England. Over 95% of Husson students qualify to receive federal, state, community and/or campus-based financial aid and scholarships.

With an openness to new experiences and different perspectives, Husson students develop into engaged global citizens equipped with the knowledge and real-world experience needed to become successful professionals in an evolving world.
