Beth Rattigan focuses her practice in the areas of employment and labor law in Vermont and New Hampshire. Her concentrated experience enables Beth to guide clients in avoiding workplace problems before they manifest and in resolving conflict when it arises. Beth regularly defends employers in federal and state court matters such as wrongful discharge and discrimination claims. She provides advice and training to management regarding employment law compliance and human resource issues including hiring, discipline, termination, reductions in force, wage and hour practices, investigations, sexual harassment, employee relations, employee training, personnel policies, and employment agreements. Beth also serves as Chair of the Labor and Employment group at DRM.
Beth regularly speaks to businesses and trade organizations on a variety of topics, including the #MeToo movement, developing respectful workplaces, marijuana laws and their impact on the workplace, leave law challenges, conducting investigations, pay practices and other state and federal-level developments in labor and employment law. You may have heard her speak at the Strategic HR at Mt. Washington, Granite State
SHRM or the Vermont State SHRM Conferences. She has also been a featured guest on VPR’s Vermont Edition on several occasions. Beth has been recognized by her peers as a top-rated labor and employment attorney and is regularly recognized by Chambers and Partners.
Beth is a member of the Granite United Way board and serves as the local Community Impact Chair in the Upper Valley area of Vermont and New Hampshire for GUW. She also serves on the board of Vermont Public Television and the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
