Dr. Claire Sullivan is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Innovation in Digital Badging and Micro-credentials at the University of Maine System. Dr. Sullivan developed the University of Maine’s Engaged Black Bear Digital Badging initiative and has collaborated with the Education Design Lab’s TeeUptheSkills and BadgedtoHire initiatives. As an Associate Professor, she developed and taught service-learning courses, both in the traditional classroom setting and online. She was recognized for this work by Maine Campus Compact, receiving the Donald Harward Award for Excellence in Service-Learning. In her prior role as Associate Dean for Community Engagement in the College of Liberal arts and Sciences, she chaired the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement Committee. She is currently co-chairing the Steering Committee tasked to build a micro-credentialing framework within the University of Maine System and across the state to aid in workforce development.
