Donna Brassard has been the publisher of Mainebiz since 1999. Since that time the paper has grown from three employees to 14, and revenues have more than quadrupled.
Prior to coming to Maine to be publisher at Mainebiz, Brassard was the associate publisher at the Worcester Business Journal in Worcester, Massachusetts for five years. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence University with a degree in journalism.
She has worked in advertising sales for publications in New York City such as Better Homes & Gardens, Early American Life, Country Home, and Country Journal before relocating back to her native New England where she joined Business Worcester and Worcester Monthly in the mid 1980’s where she held positions in advertising sales, marketing and circulation. In 1990 Business Worcester became the Worcester Business Journal and Brassard became the ad sales manager prior to her promotion to associate publisher.
Brassard lives in Cape Elizabeth, Maine with her husband David, a teacher a Windham High School.
