John O’Leary has over 20 years of strategic recruiting experience, spending all of his career in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island markets. John began recruiting accounting and finance professionals in 1997 for a professional staffing firm, identifying and proving talent for many leading organizations in the region. At the age of 27, John became the Manager of the firm for many years driving profitability to become one of the top 10 most profitable offices in the country.
In 2010, John left to run internal Talent Acquisition at a Fortune 1000 insurance company, where he was hired to rebuild the function and create a proactive approach to hire talent. Currently, John is the VP of Talent Acquisition at Lifespan, the largest healthcare system in Rhode Island, as well as the largest employer in all of Rhode Island. In one year, John has transformed the recruiting function from a transactional, reactive operation to a more consultative recruiting function that helps hiring managers drive their hiring decisions.
John is married to his wife Kirsten of 15 years and has three children. When John is not busy leading Talent Acquisition transformation, you can usually find him on a basketball court, baseball field, or soccer field watching his three sons.
