Margaret Lynch serves as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Operations for the Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board, Inc. (FDIHB), a self-determined organization that provides superior healthcare to the underserved population on the Navajo Nation. As an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, she is the first candidate to complete FDIHB’s Mentorship Advancement Program. Margaret began her Human Resources career as an HR Generalist with the Window Rock Arizona School District. Over her HR career, Margaret has worked diligently to bring the spotlight on the unique needs of HR professionals who work for Tribal organizations. In 2015, Margaret was selected as the National Native American Human Resources Association’s (NNAHRA) HR Professional of the Year. Margaret maintains the Human Resource Certification Institute’s (HRCI) PHR certification, the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) SHRM-CP certification and the Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) certification. She also served on the Arizona School Personnel Administrators Association Executive Board and on the Executive Board for NNAHRA. Margaret currently serves as Co-Director of Diversity on the SHRM New Mexico State Council. With her leadership and direction, the SHRM New Mexico State Council was awarded the 2019 SHRM National Pinnacle award for the initiative of working with HR professionals in Indian Country. Margaret’s 19 years of Human Resources experience and leadership brings a unique perspective and approach to Human Resources professionals both in and outside of Indian Country.
