Michael Buescher

Michael Buescher is a member of Drummond Woodsum’s Labor and Employment practice group.  He works closely with employers of all sizes, both public and private, to tackle difficult situations including compliance with discrimination laws, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, wage/hour issues, discipline, and litigation and negotiations. Michael advises employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Maine Human Rights Act, and the Whistleblowers’ Protection Act. He is active in representing employers before various federal and state agencies, including the EEOC, the Maine Human Rights Commission, the Unemployment Compensation Commission, and the Maine Labor Relations Board, as well as in arbitration and employment litigation in both federal and state courts.
