Michael serves as the Chair of Preti Flaherty’s Employment Law Group. Clients look to Michael for guidance on day-to-day employment and labor relations issues including hiring and employee retention policies, personnel policies, discipline and termination issues, wage and hour issues, collective bargaining agreements and compliance with employment discrimination and civil rights laws. He works strategically with clients to develop policies that help them avoid potentially damaging situations, and, when needed, represents his clients before state and federal agencies and courts. Born in Portland, Michael is a former Maine Assistant Attorney General, and previously served as Preti Flaherty’s Managing Partner.
