Ria DeMay J.D. is the Principal Consultant for Cardinal Employee Relations LLC. A boutique consulting firm that focuses solely on employee relations strategies and investigations. Ria is a certified mediator who has previously held HR, LR and EO positions at the University of Maine System and Colby College. Prior to working in Higher Ed, she worked as a management side labor and employment associate in a national law firm. She has held clerkships at the NLRB, the NY Attorney General’s Office and the Division of Human Rights. She has served on the Society of Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) national expertise panel and served as an expert for National Media Outlets such as HR Magazine, Time, Forbes, etc. Ria is a graduate of the University of Buffalo’s labor and employment law program and has a Bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from the State University of New York.
