Tina Schmitt

Tina Schmitt is the Director of Talent Acquisition and Retention for the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Tina has a Bachelor’s degree from Towson University and a Master’s degree in Business Management/ Human Resources from Notre Dame of Maryland.  Tina serves as the Director of College Relations for the Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA) Executive Board, is a mentor to local high school young women and is a leadership coach for college students at Notre Dame of MD.  Tina has obtained SHRM’s Talent Acquisition specialty credential and is certified as a Senior HR Professional (SCP) by the Society for Human Resources Management. She is also a certified Healthcare Recruiter (CHCR) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by HRCI. Tina has been with the Institute for 25 years and has built the TA function from ground up and leads and directs all talent strategies.  Tina is on the leadership team of both the Neurodiversity at Work initiative as well as the Women in Leadership Initiative for Kennedy Krieger and holds both of those close to her heart.   Tina is passionate about talent acquisition, mentorship, organizational culture, workforce development, training and diversity and inclusion. Tina lives in Baltimore County with her husband, two children Dylan (8) and Ella (7) and Cavachon, Duke.
