Here are my first two promises for the New Year. 1) The 2018 HR Convention programming will make a difference in the lives of your employees, the strategic direction of your organization, and the wellbeing of your neighboring communities. 2) The temperatures will be ABOVE ZERO when you arrive at the Samoset in May.

There’s a strong lineup of programming in place, over 50 workshops running the full gamut of human resources in Maine. And with that lineup comes pre-approval from SHRM for 23.75 PDCs towards SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification, and 23.75 general credits and 15.75 BUSINESS credits from HRCI towards PHR & SPHR recertification. All under one roof at the Samoset. And what a roof it is.

The icing on the cake is the extraordinary lineup of keynoters from around the country. Arte Nathan (former CHRO of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas), Farai Chideya (acclaimed journalist and author from New York City), Garry Ridge (CEO of WD-40 from San Diego), Kip Hollister (from the Hollister Institute in Boston), and Jim Link (CHRO from Randstad in Atlanta).

Plus a Maine Great Leader series featuring: Danielle Conway (Dean of the University of Maine School of Law); Liz Hayes (CEO of Infinity Federal Credit Union); Glenn Cummings (President of USM); Gimbala Sankare (Global Talent Acquisition at WEX); and Margo Walsh (Founder of MaineWorks).

Can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for you at the Samoset!

Warmly,

Bud Bernstein
