Our experts look to the future of workers’ compensation in Maine
The Think Tank remains the perfect Comp Summit closing session. It is a great vehicle for gazing into the future, looking to innovations occurring around the country, and getting beyond some of the ministerial issues that often leave the workers’ compensation system bound. So join us again for a look at the big picture and the direction of comp in Maine. Issues on the table may include: the status of rule-making in Maine, issues flowing from the Gig Economy – particularly those related to misclassification, and the latest on the medical marijuana front. All of this will be in the context of national trends and the original intent of workers’ compensation systems – the grand bargain. Executive Director Paul Sighinolfi is shaping the issues for this closing session.
