Enter the Bold New World of HR: Aligning for the Future of Work 2.0

Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

What’s it all about? Why is HR ripe for innovation and how prepared is your human resources team to capitalize on the opportunities and challenges the new world of work has to offer? This workshop, led by Maryanne Spatola, CHRO of Solix, is a second HR wake up call. It follows her bravura introduction of this conversation at the 2018 Maine HR Convention. This year, she will share additional research and the latest practical applications on topics fundamental to human resource management in a rapidly changing, complex business environment, such as artificial intelligence, digital HR, and design thinking. Just why do C-Suite leaders fail to understand HR? In turn, why do HR leaders often miss the business drivers upon which the C-Suite focuses? The answers to these two questions will position you for impact when you return to work after the Convention.

Why you’ll want to participate in this session.

  • Become a futurist by learning how to interpret technological, economic, labor, and legal/regulatory trends that impact your organization’s core business functions.
  • Stimulate innovation and the evolution of your organization, its leadership initiatives, and strategic workforce planning.
  • Contribute in the alignment of your HR strategic direction with your company’s strategic planning and business initiatives.

Approved for SHRM Credit and HRCI Business Credit.
