Workshop B: The Ethics of Comp 2018

Monday, August 27th, 2018 @ 2:45 pm - 4:15 pm

The Big Picture

Our annual dive into ethics and the law of workers’ compensation challenges attorneys and the entire workers’ compensation community to uphold best practices in the service of their clients. We’ll consider a few scenarios, starting with the conundrum of medical marijuana and the related ethical and legal obligations of Maine attorneys, medical professionals, and others. We’ll also hear about the types of cases predominating at the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar. And, we’ll continue our focus on professionalism, the mood of the Maine Bar, and broader, related matters such as stress, collegiality, and fairness.

Faculty: Aria Eee (Staff attorney, Board of Overseers of the Bar), Anne-Marie Storey (Rudman & Winchell), and Phil Walls (MyMatrixx).

Approved for 1.5 CLE (ethics) and CCMC credits, and 1.0 NH Adjuster credit.
