Why you’ll want to participate in this session. For 28 years, Don MacPherson has mentored young students and young professionals. It started in the Hennepin County Minnesota Juvenile Detention Center with a 17-year-old named Teddy. It has continued through Big Brothers Big Sisters, A Better Chance, and the Inner City Ducks in Minneapolis. In this workshop, Don will talk about how his career and work with HR professionals has benefited from being a mentor, what is required to successfully mentor others, how leaders can make a difference in their communities without sacrificing career opportunities, and why mentoring and being mentored is critical to success in life.
