MegaSession B: Employment Law Turned Upside Down

Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 @ 10:15 am - 11:45 am

How Covid has changed compliance and your HR universe.

Why you’ll want to attend. Where do your employees work – at home, at the office, hybrid, in other states or countries? How do they perform their work? And, how often are they moving around? These are but some of the matters impacting employment law compliance today. Few professions – other than those on the Covid front lines – have seen more activity than employment law attorneys. So, we’ve invited Peter Lowe to take a brief reprieve from his cases to discuss these trends and why your holistic approach to compliance may need a tweak or two.

What’s it all about?

  • Issue one – with the pool of available talent diminished, what shortcuts are some employers taking to their detriment and what practices have other employers put in place for efficiency and better results?
  • Issue two – where is agency enforcement focused these days? What “i’s” need to be dotted and “t’s” crossed?
  • Issue three – how is the changing interactivity between employees and supervisors impacting the workplace dynamic?
  • Issue four – how will public policy on the horizon (as an example, the trend to paid sick leave) impact your compliance work?
