PLENARY: 75 Minutes with the Doctor

Sunday, August 25th, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

That’s a Lot of Time!

What’s it all about? In this continuation of the Comp 101/201 programming, you will be welcomed to a medical point of view on workplace injuries. Al Mesrobian, MD, a specialist in preventive medicine and occupational health, joins us for conversation and your questions. Dr. Mesrobian is well-versed both in the inner workings of the workers’ compensation system in Maine and this Comp Summit, so let’s put these 75 minutes to good use. The focus will include a look at the doctor/patient relationship and how it rolls out in the context of workers’ compensation and communications with lawyers, insurers, and employers. Al will also discuss trending issues in occupational medicine and shifts he’s observed over the years on the medical community’s relationship to work-related injuries. And while he can’t dispense specific medical advice for your cases and claims, he can steer you in the right direction. So, come join this lively, interactive session.

Why you’ll want to participate in this session.

  • Learn more about the impact occupational health professionals have on Maine’s workers’ compensation system.
  • Discover tips for communications with the medical community that get you the results you need.
  • Hear about the latest trends in occupational health and wellness.

Approved for 1.25 CCMC, SHRM, HRCI (HR) General, and Maine Attorney CLE Credits.
