Safety as a Workplace Value: How HR, Finance, and Operations can rally around building a culture of safety

Thursday, May 9th, 2019 @ 10:15 am - 11:45 am

What’s it all about?  “Safety” often has a negative implication at work – seen as an overhead expense or something that “has” to be done to avoid costly penalties or fines. Instead, what if we leverage safety as a value to enhance the organization’s existing culture? With real-world examples of this systemic shift in action, presenter Tim McCarty from Clark Insurance will share the lessons he has learned throughout a career in Loss Control & Safety. Tim demonstrates that by integrating workplace safety across all functions, we can achieve fewer injuries and losses, lower costs, and provide greater operational efficiencies.
