The New Performance Management Reality

What’s it all about? Everyone in HR is talking a good game about the evolution from punch card performance reviews to more holistic practices, but that transition is not always a smooth one. Because reality strikes. Is there enough time in the day for these more involved discussions and follow up? How do you deal with resistance to these new platforms? What are the legal implications? And, how do you reach the ultimate goal of using performance management systems to retain talented employees by keeping them engaged and helping their growth? Debra Weiss Ford and Tracie Sponenberg join today’s faculty to provide a lawyer’s view and a human resource perspective on the new road to performance management, a road on which there is no turning back. Look forward to a lively discussion on matters at the core of human resources practice.

Why you’ll want to participate in this session.

  • Hear about recent trends and nuances from the progressive performance feedback front and some of the advantages and challenges employers on this path face.
  • Build your skills for handling the concerns and resistance these new human resource processes present to the C-Suite, front line managers, and employees of different generations.
  • Prepare yourself to onboard this new process while remaining true to core legal concepts of fairness and equity and consider the implications for your job descriptions in a world where job functions can change by the minute.
