An Insider’s Guide to Development for All
What’s it all about? In 2017, business leaders and HR professionals at Martin’s Point Healthcare agreed that professional development needed a jump start. Enrollment in courses was down, and rapid growth had led to a sense that people were too busy to take part in learning opportunities. At the same time, data from the employee survey showed that people wanted to develop but didn’t understand where to begin. For employees and leaders, it was time to hit “reset” and begin an organization-wide conversation about development, not just for one person, but for all 950 employees.
In 2018, all Martin’s Point employees were asked to complete meaningful development conversations with their managers. These conversations were put into action in 2019 with the launch of “Development for All”. Heidi Fisher and Sally Wilson join us to share Martin’s Point’s journey to reinvigorate employee development in a compelling way. You will learn the components of the Development for All lens and also hear how Martin’s Point is scoring big wins by giving colleagues a new framework to think, plan, and take action.
