Workshop B: Agile Leadership

Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The Next Evolution for Today’s World of Work

What’s it all about? Are organizations and their leaders failing? Yes! Almost 9 out of 10 Fortune 500 Companies from 1955 no longer exist. The lifespan of companies continues to shrink, and people are left wondering why traditional leadership models are no longer effective. With the rapid pace of technology, disruption, globalization, and regulation, leaders must be able to think and behave in distinct and radical ways. Enter: Agility.

In this session, John Griffith (MCG Partners) will share the latest research on the behaviors of agile leaders and how to influence agility within your managers, teams, and organization. Along the way, you will uncover the surprising principles of leadership that closely correlate to business results. You will leave with a framework for agility and the ability to evaluate current and future talent and leadership needs in order to set your organization up for maximum success.

Why you’ll want to participate in this session.

  • Learn to distinguish between traditional business platforms and today’s business environment, and how that environment impacts the structure of HR within your organization.
  • Understand the detriment of traditional leadership models and develop a strategy to foster agile leadership behaviors within your company and HR.
  • Discover how to build a business case for leadership development initiatives based on your organization’s values and overarching strategy.

Approved for SHRM Credit and HRCI BUSINESS Credit.
