Growing the team is an exciting time for an organization. During this time, companies invest significant resources to ensure the onboarding process is as efficient and thorough as possible. And, as business fluctuates, demands on the organization to make reductions are not as exciting. As a result, many companies don’t make the effort needed to off- board employees, doing just enough to get by; or, for many organizations, simply ignoring off-boarding altogether with some even going so far as to “banish” employees as they are leaving. This is extremely detrimental to an employer’s brand. When you approach the off-boarding process with the same attitude and core values as onboarding, extraordinary outcomes for your brand will result.
