Forging a Resource Realistic Partnership
What’s it all about? It is no surprise that HR and Finance can be at odds with each other’s goals. HR, perceived as an expense department, seeks the budgetary means to meet the needs of its employees, and up to 70% of a company’s budget may be focused on Human Capital. Finance, with its focus on budget constraint and cost-cutting measures, may not be particularly accommodating. Gary Convertino, Ed.D., SHRM-CP/PHR and Daniel Modelane join us to discuss how an Executive HR Professional and CFO crafted a successful partnership to help overcome these inherent conflicts. They will discuss their relationship at Dean College and will use a variety of tools to stimulate audience thinking and participation, including a participatory “Red Shirt/Blue Shirt” exercise.
