Workshop B: Problem Claims

Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 9:15 am

How Do You Get Them Back on Track?

What’s it all about? How do you deal with the daily distractions that derail progress on resolving difficult claims? Timothy Wannemacher and Rachel Deschuytner from Robinson, Kriger & McCallum are joined by Vanessa Hayes from Liberty Mutual, to offer this morning’s wakeup call to help employers and adjusters keep these cases on the rails. They will present several challenging hypotheticals from the world of workers’ compensation. Among the topics set for examination: 14-day violations, overpayments/underpayments, dealing with concurrent employers, and 21-day letters in cases where the employee has started working for a new employer but the wages are elusive. They will outline how to most efficiently and effectively address each of these problematic areas and engage you in conversation on the practical impact of these steps.
